Cardinal Store Locator was developed to give customers a way to set up a highly customizable locator feature for their WordPress website. It was built with the Google Maps API, WordPress Settings API and the open source jQuery Store Locator plugin and integrates with WordPress core features such as custom post types for location data and custom taxonomies for location categories and filtering. Location data can be added with the built-in locations post type, an existing custom post or via local or remote KML, XML or JSON.

The plugin was in development for two years before its release and was programmed following the WordPress Coding Standards. It’s highly flexible, provides numerous settings, is responsive by default, offers advanced filtering with taxonomies and address data, makes use of Handlebars for easy location list and info window overrides and can read Snazzy Maps styling in addition to several other features.
