Postie allows you to create a WordPress post, page or custom post type by simply sending an email. Create and edit your email in whatever email program you use. Many more options than the built in Post By Email feature.

Postie also has several paid AddOns for advanced functionality and integrations. Specifically there are integrations with Open Street Maps and Geolocation Plus so you can associate geolocation data with each post. There is also an integration with PolyLang so you can specify the language of the post.

There is also the Shortcode AddOn which allows you to use shortcodes to control many Postie features as well as set custom fields and/or taxonomies for use by your theme, other plugins or custom post types.

Lastly there is the Clean HTML AddOn which by default will make sure your HTML is W3C compliant. With some additional configuration you can also remove specific tags and attributes so that extra junk added by your mail client doesn’t mess up your theme formatting.
