Frontend Submissions for Easy Digital Downloads lets you create a marketplace by allowing vendors to submit their own products for inclusion in your online store. This can be used to create a a digital goods marketplace similar to ThemeForest or CodeCanyon. It has a complete suite of features useful to both vendor and marketplace manager.

You have full control over the fields available for vendor registration and product submission. Vendor applications and submissions can be approved or rejected from the WordPress admin area. The vendor receives a customizable email depending on the action taken. From their account, vendors can manage their products and see statistics about sales.

The EDD Commissions plugin can be used in conjunction with this marketplace plugin in order to make paying vendors their share easy.

Pro Plugin Directory uses EDD Frontend Submissions as an easy way for plugin sellers to submit and manage their listings.

  1. We use EDD Frontend Submissions here on Pro Plugin Directory. It lets plugin authors create an account and submit their plugins. The plugin lets the administrator approve or reject submissions, complete with notification emails, and it lets users edit their submissions after approval. This is a very complete solution for creating an online marketplace.

The form building capabilities of EDD Frontend Submissions are incredible. The user registration and plugin submission forms wouldn’t be what they are on this site without it. Saved a ton of coding. The plugin is worth more than its price.

I did not need support for it. It just worked. Very intuitive.
